Enrolled on GCG Employee Navigator with Harmony plug in for Colonial products

https://gcg.employeenavigator.com/benefits/Account/Login

If the employee resides in NY, you will not be able to enroll Colonial Whole Life, Accident, Disability, or CI. Waive the benefits to finish out the record. They can enroll in Colonial Dental.

IF YOU ENROLL SOMEONE AND THE BENEFIT CONFIRMATION FORM (BE SURE TO SEND TO EACH PARTICIPANT) AND SEE THAT THE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR MEC IS DIFFERENT FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR ANY OTHER PRODUCTS, NOTIFY TAMMY RIGHT AWAY.

2022 Open Enrollment (July 1, 2022)-premiums for all MEC elections are lower than last year. Passive enrollment…all elections stay the same unless a current participant makes changes…no need for a life event.

MEC: Pure Health (July 1, 2021-added a new EAP to the MEC ) – this is a brand new benefit that is attached to the MEC plans starting on July 1, 2021. It is not optional. Please review the EAP benefit with each employee.

* please remind the employee that these products are completely portable if they leave KNA with no change in premiums or amounts of coverage. they can set up direct bill and continue having the plans in place that will pay in addition to anything their new employer may offer (this is common with Tesla and Impossible Foods folks who currently work for KNA but may get hired by the company they are temping for).

Key language for summary

This is enrollment for MEC and Voluntary.

Colonial Benefits will be deducted via Piedmont Pays on a weekly basis. – Please make sure to tell employees that the MEC deductions are taken pre-tax and that they can only change if they have a life event or when the next OE occurs

This will resemble a payroll deduction.

Voluntary Benefits are offered Post tax.

The benefit statement only shows monthly premiums for all coverages and enrollers send that statement to the employee so they have to explain this very clearly.

The monthly medical premiums will come out of your second paycheck each month and your deduction will be $____. (THIS IS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES)

Colonial coverage will come out of your paycheck on a weekly basis and your weekly payroll deduction will be $_.

(the enroller will need to take the monthly deduction they see in the system, multiply by 12 and divide by 52 for the weekly deduction).
